YouGotNext started in youth sports, where we saw families facing rising costs and organizations working hard to create opportunities with limited resources.
Sports became the natural place to start because it was where we understood the barriers and knew we could make an immediate difference.
The problem was bigger than talent. It was access.
Through Play Harder and YouGotNext Sports, we’re building a model focused on removing barriers, strengthening community partnerships, and creating more ways for young people to access opportunity.
That includes direct support, team and league partnerships, and experiences like Play Harder Challenges that turn competition into fundraising, visibility, and impact.
As that model grows, the same commitment to access will expand into learning through Work
Smarter and entrepreneurship through Dream Bigger.
Three paths. One mission: expanding access to opportunity.
We believe lasting impact is built with the people already doing the work.
That means partnering with teams, leagues, schools, educators, community organizations, businesses, volunteers, donors, and sponsors to identify barriers and build practical ways around them.
Sometimes that means funding. Sometimes it means equipment, fundraising, programming, visibility, or connecting the right people and resources.
The goal is always the same: create more access, more opportunity, and more ways for young people to move forward.
YouGotNext was founded by Matthew and Erin McAvoy with a simple belief: when communities invest in young people, opportunity grows.
What began with a focus on removing barriers in youth sports has grown into a broader commitment to helping young people access the resources, support, and relationships they need to move forward.
YouGotNext is shaped by the families, coaches, educators, organizations, businesses, volunteers, and supporters who believe opportunity should be easier to reach.
This work belongs to the community it serves.
We’re building more ways for young people to reach it.
